Memory Verse: 7Now w as for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so you shall hear a message from My mouth and give them a warning from Me. 8 house of Israel; so you shall hear a message from My mouth and give them a warning from Me.8 of man, set your face toward Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt” (Ezekiel 33:7-8 AMP)
The Watchman for the house of Israel was to keep watch by day and by night. If the watchman saw danger approaching, he was to warn the people. If the Watchman sent out a warning by blowing a trumpet and the people did not adhere to it, the Watchman would have yet done his duty. However, if the watchman saw danger and failed to blow the trumpet to warn the people, and if the people died, their blood would be required at the hands of the Watchman and God would not hold him blameless.
5 He heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning; his blood shall be on himself. But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life. Ezekiel 33:5 AMP
