Tools For Your Purpose

“Find your own Calcutta.” – Mother Theresa AMP

Tools are designed to help you do some work. Construction tools can help you build a house. Gardening tools can help you plant a vineyard. Spiritual tools are designed to help you plant seeds of righteousness and to grow spiritually, or in your awareness of your connection to God and how to flourish therein. This section will introduce both spiritual and analytical tools. The first four are called living tools because they birth new revelation, and or are designed to grow and change with your experience: 1.) Your Purpose Journal; 2.) Your Elements Chart; and 3.) Your Purpose Tree are tools you will create to help you catalog key elements relating to your purpose. Each of these tools can be expanded to include as much detail as you need (or can supply); and is good for extrapolating new ideas from what you already know, making them both unique and infinitely valuable. Before exploring these, we will discover (or rediscover as your case may be), the Biblical tools every Christian should get to know, as noted in Ephesians 6.
.
The Bible exhorts us to put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to quench the fiery darts of the wicked []. This armor should be part of your daily wear. II Timothy 2:15 exhorts every Christian to study the Word []. The Bible is your most valuable weapon. Do not think of it solely as a good book. As much as possible, commit scriptures to memory. There may be times when you will not have a physical Bible with you. However, you are to be a living epistle []. You are to write the Word of God on your heart []. The instruction of [] is to be instant in season and out of season.
.
To get the most from your living tools, use them to supplement your daily Bible study, fast track, and prayer. Your living tools will also serve as visual representations of your journey. You will be able to reference them at key intervals and track patterns in your discoveries. Keep these parts as you will expand, refine and build upon them throughout your journey accompanied by this book.
.
In addition to the aforementioned analytical and living tools, this section discusses the Holy Spirit, prayer and more.
.
While we should endeavor to understand spiritual things, we do live on the earth so long as God allows it to be so. Therefore, from time to time we will require practical solutions to real world problems. Do not think that God is only concerned with your soul. The good news is that the same basic instructions you receive from the Word of God, are applicable to life’s most complicated challenges. There may also be biblical characters who had similar experiences to something you are facing. You might be surprised to learn of some of the extraordinary circumstances faced by various biblical persons. In my darkest hours, I found that there were even Kings who had gone through some of the same events that I faced. The more you search the scriptures, the more you are empowered to deal with our own issues and to help others along the way.

Remember that as you overcome, you should be thinking of how you can use your victory to share the victorious experience. There are likely millions of people in the world and several you may know, who are facing the same situations that concern you, or have already been there and through that, or who may come to those same crossroads at some point in the future. Your journey is as much a personal triumph as it is a teaching tool. The journey is your school. When you have learned a good lesson, discover how to teach.
